Volunteering

Bea's Kids greatest asset is our volunteers. Whether you can come one hour a week, once a month, or just one time: you will make a difference!

Opportunities include:

After-school program volunteers work at one of our tutoring centers to help children with their homework assignments and reinforce reading and math. Our volunteers encourage our kids to work hard and let them know that we believe in them! Tutoring centers are open Monday – Thursday from 4-6pm. Our center volunteers are asked to commit to at least one afternoon a month and must attend an orientation before working with children in our programs

Technology volunteers to teach the students to navigate the internet, how to use software programs, and how to create documents and spreadsheets. Schedules are flexible.

Office help includes data entry, making copies, and assisting with general clerical duties. Office hours are from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.

Special Projects occur sporadically throughout the year and include teaching a hobby to a small group of students, helping with holiday parties, and sorting school supplies.
