Bea’s Kids Lecture Series
Irvin Ashford, Senior Vice President with Comerica Bank was the inaugural speaker for the Bea's Kids Lecture Series. Mr. Ashford, who is quite an inspirational speaker, made one heck of an impression on the teens with his own real-life story.
Afterschool Achievers Awards

Bea’s Kids was proud to have two students nominated for academic excellence by the Dallas Afterschool Network's Afterschool Achievers Award. Our award winners are Valeria, an 8th grader attends the Carrollton Tutoring Center, pictured with her sister Nelda, and Adma, a 3rd grader attending the Dallas Tutoring Center, pictured with her family.

- Held at the Intercontinental Hotel Dallas in the Malachite Room
- Hosted our own "Dancing with the Stars" Rudy Gonzalez, Bea's Kids volunteer and District Director with the Boy Scouts vs. Nikki Miller, Chairperson of Bea's Kids
- 20th Anniversary Birthday Party
- Bea's Kids received a Congressional Recognition from Congressman Kenny Marchant
- Major League Baseball's Vincente Padilla, former pitcher of the Texas Rangers was in attendance and we auctioned autographed baseball memorabilia - including the tie from around his neck!
 Pitcher Vicente Padilla was a special guest for the evening. Padilla supports Bea's Kids mission of breaking the cycle of poverty through child education. |
